Fear Of Fitness

OK, I was working at the Women’s Expo this weekend and I shot this really short video (31 seconds). But I ask a super important question at the end. After watching it please answer my question below in the comments section. I’d love a ton of feedback on this question, so forward, share or email everyone you know and have them answer the question too. The more the better….

  1. John — I think people are afraid of fitness because they think they need to start out at a level of fitness that is only achieved after working out. People are afraid of “failure” (for lack of a better word), people do not want to appear “weak” and don’t want to feel like they cannot do something. Sadly, our society is not much at starting at the bottom and working up and that is what needs to happen in fitness. I think you just have to find the fitness program that works for you and set goals.

  2. What a hoot John! In answer to your question…in my opinion…people who are NOT afraid of fitness have established patterns of thinking and behaving that are in alignment with their beliefs around health (fitness being a part of that). People who are afraid of fitness have not developed patterns of thinking or behaving that support those same beliefs.
