Do Shake Weights Work?

Ok so I asked (on the Fitness Know How Headquarte’s page ) if Shake Weights work, and I got 9 “Hell No’s”, 1 “It is unlikely”, 1 “Probably not” and a “What’s a Skake Wake”. That is basically 11 no’s and zero yes’s. So we know this. Shake Weights Don’t Work!!!!

But here’s the deal. I looked up Shake Weights online. In an article in the NY Times, August of 2010, they stated that Shake Weight’s had surpassed $40 Million in sales. That’s $40 million in 8 months. That’s over 2 million sold.

If a fitness program that doesn’t work generates over $40 million in sales in eight months, how do we….

as fitness professionals educate the people we come in contact with in a way that prevents them from investing in fitness prgrams that dont work?

as consumers of fitness, nutrition, and weight loss products and programs stop setting ourselves up for failure by wasting time and money on things that don’t work?

If a fitness program that doesn’t work can generate $40 million, then what are the programs that we offer (that do work) worth?

If you are thinking about starting a new fitness program, what are you willing to pay, if you knew that it would work?
